Motorola Updates to Android 2.1

Motorola finally made an announcement about when its smart phones based on Android operating system will get the update for the firmware to the newest version 2.1. This information appeared in the section of Support in Motorola Site.

As they have already  released an update to the Android 2.1 for the smartphone Motorola DROID, and in some regions of Europe and for the Asia-Pacific region is available an update to its analog MILESTONE. For the same model sold in South America and Canada, Android 2.1 will be available in the second quarter of this year.

After Motorola DROID and MILESTONE all of this  will turn to other Android-based smartphones of the company:

* BACKFLIP (USA) – the third quarter of this year
* CLIQ (U.S.) – second quarter of this year
* CLIQ XT (U.S.) – second quarter of this year
* DEVOUR (USA) – dates to the stage of determining
* DEXT (Europe) – time at the stage of determining
* DEXT (South America) – the date at the stage of determining
* DEXT (Asia Pacific) – the third quarter of this year
